This is NexLev's core product. The Niche Finder scans a database it markets as 122M+ channels analyzed, with 21 advanced filters, estimated RPM per niche, an RPM Predictor, and real-time outlier and viral feeds (Faceless Outliers; Viral Videos over 30, 60, or 90 days). For pure niche selection it is dedicated, mature tooling, and its RPM data and channel database are a genuine strength.
TubeGen ships its own Niche Finder that researches niches of any kind, available as a $33/mo add-on on the Build Your Own plan and included in the full plans. The difference is endpoint: TubeGen's niche research feeds directly into the production tools that make the video.
Video production pipeline
NexLev does not produce video. There is no script generator, no image or animation generation, no stock footage, no consistent characters, and no editor or export. Its own YouTube-automation guide recommends separate third-party tools for scripting, text-to-speech, and editing, and OutlierKit reports scripts are otherwise available only by hiring humans through a freelancer marketplace.
TubeGen runs the full pipeline. The AI scriptwriter goes up to 20,000 words on Premium (3,000/10,000/20,000 by tier, about two hours of narration). It generates AI images with custom art styles, animation (1 min Starter, 10 min Pro, unlimited Premium per video), Storyblocks B-roll, consistent characters, and a built-in editor with import/export up to 30 minutes.
Audio
No voiceover and no text-to-speech. NexLev's own automation guide recommends separate TTS tools for narration. Audio is out of scope for the product.
Voiceover in 8 languages, with voice clones gated 0/3/10 on Starter/Pro/Premium, plus AI-composed original soundtracks scored to the voiceover.
Browser extension and workflow
NexLev's Chrome extension is a headline feature, marketed as 35+ AI-powered tools (OutlierKit cites 28+). It overlays analytics, similar-channel and similar-video finders, a Swipe File, a monetization checker, and a thumbnail and title tester onto YouTube. NexLev's FAQ says it is optimized for Chrome, with Brave and Firefox in progress, and OutlierKit reports it can break after YouTube updates.
TubeGen is a web app, not a browser overlay. It does not annotate YouTube pages as you browse. If an in-browser analytics overlay is the specific workflow you want, NexLev fits that use case and TubeGen does not.
Reliability and platform support
OutlierKit's review reports the extension breaks after YouTube updates, that the monetization checker frequently shows an incorrect not-monetized status, and quotes a user that the analytics part just keeps loading and never shows accurate information. RPM figures are estimates, and the extension is Chrome-only today per NexLev's own FAQ. These are trade-offs to weigh, not disqualifiers.

Live figures are hidden behind Pay Monthly / Pay Yearly toggles and render client-side, so all figures are third-party: Lite about $13/mo or $9/mo annually (~$108/yr); Pro about $42/mo or roughly $30-35/mo annually (per OutlierKit). A Build Your Own plan adds à-la-carte options like Niche Finder at $33/mo. TubeGen does not offer refunds; its product demo on the features page shows the tools first. The two products sit at different price points because they solve different amounts of the job.
