Cheap hands-off long-form

What AutoTube is
AutoTube is an all-in-one AI generator for faceless YouTube channels. AutoTube runs the full pipeline. It takes an idea, writes a research-backed script, generates voiceover and captions, builds per-scene visuals, and assembles the video in an editor. AutoTube covers long-form as its headline use case and also makes vertical Shorts. AutoTube's own tagline is "AI video production for faceless YouTube channels," per autotube.org on July 19, 2026.
AutoTube's wedge is per-scene control. Its Studio Mode gives a scene-by-scene preview plus a full timeline editor with B-roll, stickers, background music mixing, and caption styling. AutoTube also ships Quick Create for rapid one-shot generation, avatar lip-sync for creators who want a presenter, 13 atmospheric overlays such as glitch and smoke, and AI video clips that add scene-generated motion. AutoTube links up to 10 YouTube channels and can auto-publish through scheduled agent runs.
AutoTube also runs a free, no-signup Faceless YouTube Niche Finder plus a tutorial and a Learn content hub, which work as lead-gen for the paid product. The brand described here is autotube.org only. Other products share the AutoTube name, including autotube.in, autotube.com, and a Chrome playback extension, and they are unrelated. You can see AutoTube's feature set on the AutoTube homepage.
What AutoTube does well
AutoTube is genuinely strong at cheap, controllable, hands-off faceless video. These are AutoTube's real wins, and this review concedes them plainly. Here is where AutoTube leads.
Rock-bottom entry price.
AutoTube starts free with 5 welcome credits, and AutoTube Lite is $9 a month, or $7.20 the first month. That entry cost sits far below TubeGen's tiers, which begin at $149 a month. Price is a real AutoTube advantage.
Per-scene editorial control.
AutoTube's Studio Mode is a full timeline editor with a scene-by-scene preview, B-roll, stickers, background music mixing, and caption styling. You review every scene before you render. This is a real editor, not a toy.
Research-backed scripts.
AutoTube says its scripts are "built on real web research," which is a marketed quality signal for the writing step.
Genuine auto-publish agents.
AutoTube's AI agents write scripts, generate voiceover, add captions, and upload to your channels on autopilot through scheduled agent runs across up to 10 linked YouTube channels.
Avatar lip-sync option.
AutoTube can go beyond purely faceless with an avatar lip-sync option, at 2.5 credits per minute at 720p or 5 credits per minute at 1080p.
A free Niche Finder.
AutoTube ships a free, standalone, no-signup Faceless YouTube Niche Finder, so idea discovery is available before you pay anything.
AutoTube pricing: the real numbers
AutoTube pricing starts free and climbs to $119 a month. The lineup on autotube.org/pricing is Free, Lite, Starter, Pro, and Premium. AutoTube bills by credits, and each job estimates its credit cost before it runs. New monthly accounts get 20 percent off the first month, and annual billing saves 17 percent. The prices below were read on the live AutoTube pricing page on July 19, 2026.
| Plan | Price | What is included |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 5 welcome credits, valid 7 days · Image-based 30 seconds to 2 minutes. 1 channel, 1 agent, 1 complimentary AI clip (5s at 720p). No card. |
| Lite | $9 ($7.20 first month) | 12 · Up to 5 minutes. Lip-sync and paid AI clips. 1 channel. |
| Starter | $29 ($23.20 first month) | 40 · Up to 10 minutes. About 30 agent videos a month. 3 channels. |
| Pro | $59 ($47.20 first month) | 120 · Up to 15 minutes. About 90 agent videos a month. 5 channels. |
| Premium | $119 ($95.20 first month) | 300 · Up to 30 minutes. Scene preview. About 150 agent videos a month. 10 channels. |
Two pricing details matter for AutoTube. First, the "30, 90, 150" figures are AutoTube's own estimates of agent videos per month, not credit counts. The real credit allotments are 12, 40, 120, and 300. Second, AutoTube credits burn at different rates by output type. Image-based long-form costs 1 credit per minute. AI-generated scene long-form costs 5 credits per minute, so AI-scene video drains credits five times faster. AI clips cost 0.5 credits for 5 seconds at 720p, and 1080p is twice the 720p rate.
AutoTube has a free tier but no timed trial and no general money-back guarantee. AutoTube states that paid purchases are generally final and advises evaluating on Free first. Partial refunds may apply only for billing errors or partly failed generation jobs.
Where AutoTube falls short
AutoTube ships no thumbnail studio, no voice cloning, no saved art styles, and no consistent characters. These are the honest gaps for a tool that otherwise runs the full faceless pipeline. AutoTube is a capable near-parity rival, so the shortfalls are specific, not a lack of a category.
No thumbnail generator or A/B studio.
AutoTube lists no thumbnail feature. There is no thumbnail maker and no built-in thumbnail A/B testing. Packaging the click still happens outside AutoTube.
No voice cloning.
AutoTube has no clone-your-voice feature. Its voiceover uses stock AI voices in 7 languages, but you cannot narrate in your own cloned voice.
No saved reusable art styles.
AutoTube offers 13 atmospheric overlays such as glitch, smoke, fire, and rain, but these are visual effects, not a saved art-style system you can lock and reuse across videos.
No consistent recurring characters.
AutoTube does not keep a recurring character consistent across scenes or across videos.
One fewer voiceover language.
AutoTube narrates in 7 languages, which are English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. TubeGen narrates in 8. The gap is one language, real but small.
AutoTube (autotube.org) has no independent star rating as of July 19, 2026. Trustpilot returned an HTTP 403 block, and every other AutoTube review belongs to a different product. There is no maturity signal to check yet.
None of this makes AutoTube a weak tool. AutoTube built a cheap, controllable faceless pipeline with a real editor. It simply leaves out the packaging and voice-identity layers that a creator scaling a channel often wants next.
From cheap pipeline to fuller production
Turning AutoTube's faceless pipeline into a fuller production with TubeGen
AutoTube makes faceless videos well and cheaply. TubeGen makes them with a deeper toolkit for creators who need tested thumbnails, cloned voices, saved art styles, and consistent characters. This is not a bait-and-switch. AutoTube and TubeGen run the same core pipeline of script, voiceover, per-scene visuals, editor, and auto-publish. TubeGen's edge is depth on the packaging and identity layers that AutoTube leaves out.
Here is what TubeGen adds on top of the shared faceless pipeline:
- TubeGen's thumbnail studio. has built-in A/B testing, so you test the click before you publish. AutoTube has no thumbnail maker at all.
- TubeGen voiceover. narrates in 8 languages, one more than AutoTube's 7, with voice cloning. Voice clones are gated: 0 on Starter, 3 on Pro, 10 on Premium. AutoTube has no voice cloning.
- TubeGen AI images. keep consistent characters across scenes and save your art styles. Saved styles are gated: 2 on Starter, 10 on Pro, 20 on Premium. AutoTube offers effect overlays, not saved styles.
- TubeGen's AI scriptwriter. writes 3,000 words on Starter, 10,000 on Pro, and 20,000 on Premium. On Premium that is roughly two hours of narration, longer with slower voices.
- TubeGen animation. is gated per video: 1 minute on Starter, 10 minutes on Pro, unlimited on Premium.
- TubeGen AI avatars. are gated per video: 30 seconds on Starter, 2 minutes on Pro, unlimited on Premium.
- TubeGen's Niche Finder. runs data-driven niche research in-app, included on every full plan and available standalone at $27 a month. AutoTube's free Niche Finder is a lighter lead-gen tool.
- TubeGen stock B-roll. pulls from the Storyblocks library, and TubeGen composes an original AI soundtrack scored to the voiceover.
- TubeGen's built-in editor. imports and exports up to 30 minutes, the same maximum as AutoTube. Longer videos render through the assets folder.
- A video course is included. with TubeGen: 12+ modules, about 3 hours.
